Meet the Artist / Biography
Artist's Statement
I am often asked how I put the "spark of life" into the eyes of the animals in my drawings and paintings; the answer lies in my love for animals and the deep connection I feel with my subjects. I feel that a bond with the animal kingdom provides opportunities for good health and happiness. When humans and animals pair together as a team, true harmony is found and as a result magic is created. The purpose of my work is to capture that magic to remind us of the great service animals provide in our lives. My goal is to use the traditional tools of paint and pencils to show the emotion and empathy that a loving pet owner sees everytime they look into the eyes of their pet. Every stroke of my paintings is done with extreme care to honor our four-legged friends and to touch the heart of those who look upon my art.
